Dr. Melissa Galluch

Dr. Galluch started her education locally by attending Buffalo Seminary, and upon graduation she started her Bachelors in Animal Science at Cornell University. She completed her veterinary degree in 2000. While attending school, Dr. Galluch worked here as a veterinary assistant. She is now owner of the practice and is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), the NYSVMS (New York State Veterinary Medical Society) and the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society. She has a special interest in internal medicine, canine reproduction, and she is also active in the dog show circuit. She has a house full of Australian Shepherds, as well as several farm animals including sheep and horses. She enjoys spending time with her three children, Jacob, Lucas and Michaela.

Dr. Jennifer Gilbert

Dr. Gilbert is a Western New York native.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Canisius College in the field of chemistry in 1994. Following her undergraduate degree she was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree by the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1999. Dr. Gilbert has a special interest in all types of surgery and dentistry.  She and her husband have volunteered their time performing spays and neuters in the Dominican Republic to reduce the stray pet population. During her free time, Dr. Gilbert can be found outside jogging, hiking, walking, skiing, horseback riding, and ice skating with her husband and brown dog, Daffy.  Her cat, Miss B, is more of a home body that enjoys keeping Dr. Gilbert's lap warm when she is reading or watching the Sabres win.

Lisa Weaver

(Head Veterinary Technician)

Lisa has been with us since the fall of 2011.  She is a graduate of Medaille College where she obtained her Veterinary Technician License in the spring of 2011.  Lisa is an avid horse lover!  Her free time is spent riding her 2 thoroughbreds Emma who is 19 years old and Fancy who is 9 years old.  In addition to the horses, Lisa shares her home with her 2 cats Nilla and Dot.

Kristen Garcia

(Head Receptionist)

Kristen has been with us since July 2014.  She earned her M.A. in Psychology from the University at Buffalo SUNY in 2010, after graduating summa cum laude with her B.S. in Biology (with a minor in animal behavior) from Canisius College in 2007.  Kristen enjoys playing video games, watching The Walking Dead, indoor rock climbing/bouldering, birding, hiking, rock music, and attachment parenting.  At home with Kristen you will find her adorable 3 year old daughter Ayla, her great dane mix Zara, and her pit bull mix, Bandit.

Jimmy Sevigny

(Veterinary Technician)

Jimmy began his career with us in March of 2014.  He received his AAS in Veterinary Technology from LaGuardia Community College in 2012.  Prior to joining our team, Jimmy worked as a veterinary technician in Brooklyn, NY.  He recently purchased a home in North Boston.  In his spare time, Jimmy volunteers in the Wildlife Department of the Erie County SPCA.  He also enjoys birding, wildlife photography, hiking and playing the banjo.  Jimmy shares his home with his 2 dogs Pepper and Scribbles.  Adding to the mix are his 2 goldfish Wet-nap and Hash-tag.

Katie Rott

(Veterinary Technician)

Katie joined our team in October of 2014.  She has been an EMT for 14 years and she attended Medaille College to become a Veterinary Technician, graduating in 2011.  A little known fact about Katie is that she has a talent for working with larger dog breeds like Rottweilers, German Shepherds, and Belgian Malinois.  She has two sons. Her menagerie includes two cats (Tuscan and Quincy) and several dogs (including Armi, Bear, and Drako).

Khristin Nowaczyk

(Veterinary Technician)

Khristin joined our team in June of 2016.  A 2005 graduate of Medaille College's Veterinary Technology program, she spent 6 years gaining valuable surgical experience working with the only licensed veterinary anesthesia tech in WNY. If you are in the market for a house, she is also an agent for Hunt Real Estate when she isn't here at the clinic.  In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her 2 year old bulldog Dexter.

Kim Rydza

(Veterinary Assistant)

Kim is one of the newest additions to our team, but is by no means new to our clinic as her family dog, Lacy (an American Eskimo), is already one of our patients. A current student in Medaille College's Veterinary Technology program, Kim hopes to become a licensed vet tech before continuing on to veterinary school. In her spare time, she volunteers at the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center and at Ten Lives Club animal rescue. She also loves exploring the outdoors, playing guitar and tennis.

Jenn Karan

(Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant)

Jenn joined us summer of 2016 on her quest to gain veterinary experience prior to starting the veterinary technology program at Medaille College in the spring of 2017. When she isn't caring for her 3 and 1/2 year old Labrador/Dane mix, Charlie, she enjoys a variety of hobbies, including kayaking, hiking, birding, gardening, snow-shoeing, photography and arts/crafts.
