Dr. Gilbert has a special interest in all types of surgery and dentistry.  She and her husband have volunteered their time performing spays and neuters in the Dominican Republic to reduce the stray pet population. During her free time, Dr. Gilbert can be found outside jogging, hiking, walking, skiing, horseback riding, and ice skating with her husband and brown dog, Daffy.  Her cat, Miss B, is more of a home body that enjoys keeping Dr. Gilbert's lap warm when she is reading or watching the Sabres win.
